Voters to Decide on Bridgehampton’s Library Budget Saturday
This year’s vote on the budget and board of the Hampton Library in Bridgehampton will take place on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Diana Payne, a Sagaponack resident, is running unopposed.
The proposed 2019 budget for the library is $1.37 million, an increase of about $76,000 from last year’s. According to the library, for a house assessed at $1 million for 2017-18, its share of the property taxes would have been $101.60. Under the proposed budget, this would increase by $5.64, to $107.24.
Absentee ballots will be available in the library director’s office and at the reference desk during regular hours.
Also at the library, Hyman Rabinovitch, M.D., will discuss his book “Neurosis Revealed” on Saturday afternoon at 1. Refreshments will be served.
