Rally at Zeldin’s Office
Immigrants, faith leaders, and members of progressive activist groups are to speak at a Keep Families Together rally today at 4 p.m. outside Representative Lee Zeldin’s office in Patchogue.
The rally is part of a national movement to raise awareness of the federal Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s practice of separating children from their parents when detaining undocumented immigrants entering the United States. Activists plan to ask Mr. Zeldin to speak against what they consider a violation of human rights.
Suffolk Progressives, Progressive East End Reformers, People Power Patchogue, and Bend the Arc are the rally’s sponsors.
