Montauk Parade Countdown Is On
The Montauk Friends of Erin St. Patrick's Day parade is a little more than a month away. It steps off at noon on March 24.
The annual corned beef and cabbage dinner will be held at the Point bar and grill on March 9 from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. The cost is $15 for adults and $10 for children. Todd the Guitar Guy will entertain, and there will be raffles and prizes.
Tickets are now on sale for the Behan annual grand marshal luncheon, on March 22, honoring this year’s grand marshal of the parade, Gordon Ryan, and hosted by the 2011 grand marshal, Joan Lycke. It will be held at Gurney’s Resort from noon to 3 p.m. Tickets cost $65 per person and can be purchased through Ms. Lycke at the Montauk Laundromat, by calling 631-668-3381, or by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org. They will not be sold at the door.
The annual Friends of Erin gala cocktail party will be take place at Gurney’s Resort on March 23, a Saturday, from 4 to 8 p.m. There will be live music by Remember September, a buffet with traditional Irish fare, and an open bar. Tickets are $75 per person in advance, available at Becker’s Hardware, the Montauk Chamber of Commerce, Atlantic Wines and Liquors in Amagansett, and montaukfriendsoferin.org. Tickets will be available at the door for $100 per person.
