Emergency Workers to Remember 9/11 in Public Service Tuesday
First responders will gather in East Hampton Village on Tuesday to remember those who lost their lives in the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks.
The East Hampton Town Chiefs Association will host the annual ceremony on the Hook Mill green at 6 p.m. Firefighters, emergency medical service personnel, and police place wreaths in remembrance of the victims, including the 343 firefighters who died. The public is invited to attend.
In the event of inclement weather, the service will be moved to the East Hampton Fire Department in the Emergency Services Building on Cedar Street.
