Veterans marched from Citarella to the Village Green on a chilly and windy Veterans Day.
Gavin Best, who is in the Coast Guard, his wife, Laura Lee Best, and their children, Eric and Grace Ann, stood on the side and waved flags. He told The Star he decided not to march so that he could share the parade with his family.
Three veterans chatted before the parade.

Veterans stood at attention.
After the parade, Veterans Day observances continued on North Main Street, where a memorial was dedicated to Pvt. William Patrick Flynn, a son of East Hampton killed in Vietnam.
John Behan of Montauk, who was injured in Vietnam, was among those who saluted Private Flynn.
A boulder was placed near the East Hampton Grill on North Main Street for Private Flynn, East Hampton's only soldier to be killed in action in Vietnam.
