An officer was sent to investigate a report of a gray goose with a possible broken leg on David’s Lane the day after Christmas. When the officer arrived, the goose was gone.

The drivers of two northbound commercial vehicles were taken to the hospital after one rear-ended the other on Route 114 shortly after 7:30 Thursday morning, according to the East Hampton Town police.
