Greek Culture and Food Celebrated All Weekend Long

This year’s Hamptons Greek Festival starts Thursday and runs through Sunday. The Greek Orthodox Church of the Hamptons on St. Andrew’s Road hosts the festival to celebrate Greek culture and food. The hours are 4 to 11 p.m. Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, and Sunday from noon to 9 p.m.

The Hamptons Hellenic Dancers will perform traditional folk dances, there will be live Greek music and an open dance floor, and a market will offer imported Greek delicacies like extra-virgin olive oil, feta and other Greek cheeses, and Greek yogurt. Activities for children will include face painting and games.

More than $50,000 in cash and prizes will be available, too, with a first prize of a 2017 Fiat 124 Spider convertible or $20,000 in cash. Tickets are $50 a chance, and a drawing will be held at the end of the festival on Sunday at 8:30 p.m. Further information is online at hamptonsgreekfestival.com.
