Farewell to Bay Kitchen Bar
The owners of the Bay Kitchen Bar in Springs announced on Friday that the Three Mile Harbor-front restaurant will not return for its seventh season. Instead, the restaurant’s team will launch a new eatery, the Silver Lining Diner, at the former site of the Princess Diner on Montauk Highway in Southampton. The new restaurant is expected to open in June.
Nick and Toni’s in East Hampton will offer a two-course prix fixe brunch special for adults and children from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. on Easter Sunday. The menu for adults features entrees such as roast Arctic char, crab and avocado toast, and hanger steak with a poached egg. The cost is $45, not including tax, gratuity, and beverages. The menu for kids 10 and under features scrambled eggs with bacon and toast and margherita flatbread. The cost is $22. The restaurant will also offer drink specials, including a $40 make-it-yourself Bloody Mary mixing station that serves four people.
Lulu Kitchen and Bar in Sag Harbor will offer a leg of lamb entree with side dishes such as grilled asparagus and English peas from 11:30 a.m. to 11:30 p.m. on Easter. The cost is $48 per person, plus tax and gratuity. A two-person minimum is required, and reservations are recommended.
Roast leg of lamb with spring vegetables will be the special dinner entree at Almond in Bridgehampton on Easter Sunday. The dish will be available à la carte or family style for $35 per person.
Fresno in East Hampton will offer a $30 two-course prix fixe Easter dinner special. The entrees include chicken
Milanese, and mussels in a coconut habanero sauce. For $5 more, dessert is included.
The Springs Tavern, which will offer à la carte breakfast specials on April 20, will hold an egg-decorating event for kids at noon that day, followed by an egg hunt at 1 p.m. A special Easter brunch menu will be available from noon to 3 p.m. on April 21.
Indian Wells Tavern in Amagansett will hold an event featuring $6 craft beer on tap and free bar bites at 9:30 p.m. tomorrow. The beer will include selections from Grimm Ales, Greenport Harbor Brewing Company, the Montauk Brewing Company, and the Alchemist. Bostwick’s Clambakes and Catering will supply the complimentary food, and there will be live entertainment.
Gig Shack Special
668 the Gig Shack in Montauk is offering a three-course prix fixe dinner special Monday through Thursday this month. The cost is $29.95. Starting April 19, the special will also be available for lunch.
This Week at the Eagle
The featured artist at Wednesday’s A Night Out With event, a collaboration between the Golden Eagle Studio and Nick and Toni’s restaurant in East Hampton, will be Edwina Lucas, an oil painter. The evening starts with a hands-on workshop at 5:30 at the Golden Eagle on North Main Street and continues later with a two-course dinner at the restaurant next door. The cost is $75 and includes the art presentation and workshop, dinner, tax, and tip. Advance registration is on the store’s website; participants have until noon on Monday to register.
