Nancy Atlas Fireside Sessions Return to Bay Street

With special guests Saturday in Sag Harbor

Weekly Fireside Sessions With Nancy Atlas will return to Bay Street Theater in Sag Harbor on Saturday at 8 p.m. and continue through Jan. 26. The first concert will feature as Ms. Atlas’s guests the pianist Henry Haid, who rose to prominence portraying Billy Joel in Twyla Tharp’s Tony Award-winning Broadway musical “Movin’ Out,” and the saxophonist George Cortez, as well as her band members Neil Surreal, Richard Rosch, Johnny Blood, and Brett King.

Known for her powerful live performances, Ms. Atlas has been a fixture on the East End music scene for more than 20 years. Since buying her first guitar in London at the age of 19, she has opened for such icons as Elvis Costello, Lucinda Williams, Jimmy Buffett, Toots and the Maytals, and Crosby, Stills, and Nash.

Ms. Atlas’s guests on upcoming programs will include Randi Fishenfeld, the violinist for the Wildfire Band (Jan. 12); Eugene Chrysler on stand-up bass and the East End rocker Gene Casey (Jan. 19), and, on Jan. 26, Danny Kean, Jonny Rosch, and the Fireside Choir.

Tickets are $35, available at the theater box office or baystreet.org, and selling fast. Over 25 of Ms. Atlas’s previous Fireside Sessions have sold out in advance.
