Charles Busch in Sag
“Charles Busch: My Kinda ’60s” will be at Bay Street Theater in Sag Harbor on Monday at 8 p.m. An actor, playwright, novelist, screenwriter, director, and drag legend, Mr. Busch wrote and starred in “Vampire Lesbians of Sodom,” one of the longest-running plays in Off Broadway history. His play “The Tale of the Allergist’s Wife” won Mr. Busch an Outer Circle Critics John Gassner Award and a Tony nomination for best play.
“My Kinda ’60s” presents stories of Mr. Busch’s Manhattan childhood and adolescence filtered through the lens of the turbulent 1960s and includes music by Burt Bacharach, Jimmy Webb, the Beatles, Henry Mancini, Joni Mitchell, Stephen Sondheim, and Kander and Ebb. Tickets are $59 to $89.
