Guild Hall's Theater Will Have Better Sound and Screen for 2019

The upgrades began in June

Guild Hall has announced a series of upgrades to its John Drew Theater that began last June with the installation of a more advanced sound system and continued in November with the installation of a cinema industry-standard perforated screen.

The audio improvements include a new speaker system with amplifiers that deliver sonic clarity and power, 12 channels of wireless microphones, and new computers and software for song playback and theatrical cuing. The perforated screen allows audio to pass unimpeded from onstage speakers positioned directly behind it.

Michael Conrader, the theater’s audio engineer, led a technical team that included Kevin Preller, Anthony Quartararo, Sebastian Paczynski, and Joe Brondo.
