Doc on Climate Change at Parrish Art Museum on Friday
“This Changes Everything,” a documentary based on Naomi Klein’s best-selling book about the interrelatedness of global warming and capitalism, will be shown at the Parrish Art Museum in Water Mill Friday at 6 p.m.
Directed by Avi Lewis and filmed over four years in nine countries on five continents, “This Changes Everything” focuses on communities and individuals who are confronting the forces of climate change, from Montana to Alberta to South India to Beijing. Interwoven with those stories is Ms. Klein’s narration, which connects the carbon in the air with the economic system that put it there.
The screening will be followed by a discussion between Thaddeus Pawlowski, an urban designer whose work focuses on resilience and climate change adaptation, and Corinne Erni, the museum’s senior curator for special projects. Tickets are $15, $5 for members.
